LOS ANGELES -- Anchor Bay Entertainment and Starboard Films have jointly acquired worldwide distribution rights to PSYCHE, the debut feature from writer-director Stephon Stewart. The deal was announced following the film's critically acclaimed Opening Night premiere at FrightFest Glasgow 2025 and a special screening at the Cannes Film Festival.
PSYCHE stars Sara Ritter as Mara, a young woman who awakens in a surreal Death Valley desert landscape during a near-death experience, her only guide a cryptic 1980s computer terminal. The film was produced by Stephon Stewart and Tracy Keyser, with cinematography by Aitor Uribarri and score by Tom Hawk.

Stephon Stewart is a multidisciplinary creator at the intersection of science and storytelling. Founder of The Drifter LLC, he works across CO2 extraction technology, quantum physics research, and speculative fiction. PSYCHE is his feature directorial debut.
His novels -- Dry, Ice, and Wet -- explore climate dystopia and human survival. His oil painting series "Global Transfiguration" depicts possible futures for Earth. He is currently developing his next film.
